I am curious as well.  I am planning to add panels to my boat this spring and 
have not bought the panel yet.  My plan has been to get a rigid monocrystalline 
panel as large as fits on the companionway hatch/slider and just leave it there 
with velcro strips when I am away from the boat and move it below when sailing.
