Jim,
funny how these things mushroom. I started with replacing the stuffing box and
decided on the PSS. Then I ended up replacing the shaft, coupling and the
cutlass bearing.
The good thing is that the shaft will probably last longer than I own the boat.
The bad thing is that after all costs are added (parts and labour), I bet it
was a nice $1k upgrade.
