Curtis, It's probably a good opportunity to play with your sail controls as well as just your sail selection to see what works.
I presume you're talking about beating into the wind and waves when you're talking about sail options - downwind you'll have the asym and full main up and see how fast you can go... Will you be sailing with lots of crew and an active mainsail trimmer, or trying to set and forget? If the latter then you will need to downsize the sail plan appropriately rather than depowering in the gusts / powering up over the waves. You will want to flatten the sails and induce twist if that's not enough. Tighten backstay, babystay, halyards, cunningham to bend the mast, flatten the sails and keep the draught forward. Move the genoa cars back from normal full-power trim to induce twist in the headsail and reduce mainsheet tension / raise the traveler to induce twist in the main. Those shapes will be more forgiving in waves and reduce heeling moment and overall power.
