Depends on how your rudder/tube is constructed. Many assemblies have no bearings, they rely on a film of grease in the rudder tube, plus delrin bearing surfaces at deck level and where the rudder shaft exits the boat. If yours is this construction, then your only recourse would be to line the rudder tube with graphite-filled epoxy. If you have real bearings, then it's a totally different story.
