.. and a boat is also worth exactly what the seller is willing to sell
it for. If that is too much for the buyer it is still the seller's boat
and worth that much to them...

Lots of 30s for sale around here all the time. one went for under $10K
last summer in Brule ... just because the owners had been living away
for a number of years and decided not worthwhile keeping. Two years
before they turned down 18.5K on same boat. Was a good one too with a
brand new RF genoa and recently repowered with a deisel and recent
awlgrip job.

nice C&C 115 for sale here too for only $198K ... great sailing boat but
too big for BHYC crane ....

A boat is worth exactly what you are willing to pay for it. Every boat
is more or less unique, no two of any build are exactly alike on the
used market or even when they were new. Some C&C designs may work
better than others depending on the prevalent conditions in which they
will be used primarily. Mark, IMHO around here on the soueast coast of
NS by far the best C&C choice in what I believe to be your price range
is a 30 MKI. Find the best one you can for what you are willing to pay,
hire a reputable boat mover to get it here ( Sealand Industries brought
Alianna here from the US and I was pleased) , maybe even stretch your
budget, you should be able to find one.

        $20,200 - $22,500
        Replacement value $136,500

My boat surveyed as "Average Condition" so the "Current Retail
Value" and
"Fair Retail Value Adjusted" have the same numbers
The asking price was $15,000 and I paid $13,500
The selling price was lower for 3 reasons.
First the boat had no spinnaker gear as built by C&C and the
equipment /
        sails had never been added
        Genoa was in poor condition.
        Original instruments in poor condition

Having owned the boat for 2 summers, I believe that I got a good
deal.
There have been no serious issues with the boat
