Brett;

The reply I sent you was kicked back by your e=mail provider for some reason.
So I am sending again through the list:

<http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listing/pl_boat_detail.jsp?slim=broker&boat_id=2498473&checked_boats=2498473&hosturl=mccottersmarina&&ywo=mccottersmarina&&ybw=&units=Feet&access=Public&listing_id=36784&url>

Above is the listing on the McCotter’s Marina site on Yachtworld. A couple of
the photos appear to have been taken at a marina other than the Washington
Country Club, so they may be older.

Sorry, I live in the great and mighty State of Rhode Island, easy to miss

There is a pretty decent looking 81/82 38 Landfall at my club in Washington,
NC. Price reduced from $49k to $33k in the past couple of weeks. The3 boat has
not been sailed since the owners moved it into the area last year. Listing is
with McCotters Marina in Washington, NC.

I have developed a case of 5 foot-itis. It was brought on by a slip that will
accommodate a 38 foot C&C but mine is a a meet 33 feet and does not fill the
available for for which I am charged. 1979 C&C 33 Mk1 Univ Atomic 4. Full
complement of sails. Pictures and list of upgrades available upon request.

Looking to upgrade to a C& C 38 +\- Landfall

Andrew,
I've been doing my best to look at boats down in Maine, Mass and RI - the
bigger boats show up on yachtworld, but the smaller/less expensive boats don't
seem to show up anywhere consistent (I regularly look at sailboatlistings and
try to search Craigslist).

Hard to get a good handle on boats at a distance, and harder still to show up
hoping to sail one home! If you see a nice boat let me know. I'm interested!
Still looking 29-32 range. Sailing it back sounds like fun.

Failing that, I'm looking locally and I'm going to see if I can get someone to
check out that 29 in Maine - if I can find a trailer to haul it back on it is
way cheaper than similar looking condition boats here.

Yes, she be a slim Lass that Viking! but very sexy indeed!! I was really
getting frustrated with the repairs this year and then 2 days out on the bay
with fair winds and lovely sunshine...ahh a love rekindled!!! She really does
sail beautifully!

If you were to come as far as Rhode Island I bet you'd get a good deal!!
...and a great trip!

Maybe even Boston would reveal some very nice boats at goods prices...

But the trip would be downwind and down current. You'd have an adventure and a
Viking 33! That's one of my favorite boats, though it hasn't that much more
volume than the 29 II.

Mississauga is likely too far. I'm in Halifax, far east on the Atlantic shore.

It would be a 1000mile road trip, longer by water.

But thanks for the heads up. I'm only buying if I find a fair price and good
condition.

Ok - so now your just taunting me!
I'll be looking at a different 29-2 next week, good condition but they are
asking $23000.
I'm willing to pay a bit of a premium to have a boat that is more accessible -
but at the prices people are listing boats for you'd think I could start a
business of just shipping boats up from down south!
Many of these boats are not selling as the pricing is too high - but sellers
seemed convinced

Does not look to be in as good a condition from the interior pictures - but if
I can get my hands on a road worthy trailer I could drive down and have it back
in a weekend for less than half.
