Normally we moor Calypso at Shilshole Bay Marina, E dock. This week and next
she is in the yard at Seaview West (at Shilshole) receiving new bottom paint
and some rudder repairs (log strike damage).

The 36 I owned was known as "Windsong" from new to at least 2001. IIRC the
person I sold "Windsong" to sold it and it left Shilshole. Some defining
attributes of that 36 would be a horizontal shaft anchor windless mounted in
the anchor locker and a newer Yanmar auxiliary engine.

My wife still prefers the 36 over our current 43 as she was more comfortable
with its combo of less displacement and smaller sail plan. I prefer the 43 for
the larger displacement, higher power sail plan, and that I can stand up (I'm
6'5") in the galley.

Brad,

Which C&C 36 in Seattle do you own? I saw one hauled out at CSR yesterday and
back in the 90's I owned a 1980 model.

TAP Plastics in the Seattle area offers the service of cutting Plexiglas and
similar hatch materials to shape in case you decide to DIY.

Does anyone have any words of wisdom or advice for replacing a busted
plexiglass of the front hatch on a '81 C&C 36? Would it be a Atkins and Hoyle
hatch? I've been thinking of doing it myself but maybe it would be best to send
it off to someone with lots of experience such as Hatchmasters or Select
Plastics? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brad
