Very interesting. Any pictures or wiring diagrams?
My old Bose speakers are doing fine, but this sounds interesting. So
far, my only failure has been the wired cockpit remote -- and that
failure is a royal PITA as the stereo headset is at the other end of the
boat. It blew out after some newbie down here pulled in right next to
me in a marina and used his HAM set on high power to call a friend that
was only 15 miles away. My stereo has always been sensitive to nearby
HF Radio traffic. It was actually rather hilarious when I was sitting
at anchor watching a movie with the sound piped through the stereo, and
Dirty Harry pulled out his 44 Magnum and said "Hi! This is True Love,
anchored off Isla Coronados. It's a beautiful day, 84 degrees and 82 in
the pool, 1013 bar and no problems with bees..."

Joe, the sound exciters that I used are rated for 20 watts continuous power
with a burst power rating of 40 watts. They are made by Hiwave, model number
HIAX32C20-8
Bob, I used two 8 ohm sound exciters per channel. They are wired in parallel so
the amp is seeing a 4 ohm load.
