Beware that the LEDs, especially when used with PWM dimmers will create flicker. Most often that flicker is not noticeable, but it exists and it does affect the eyes. How this affects you would of course depend on the application. But reading may not be the best. The opposite end of the spectrum would be using dimmed lights for the cabin lighting when you are sailing at night (it won't affect you at all at the helm).
