Before buying the wire-reinforced hose, consider this: My surveyor recommended that I replace the original black drain hoses with approved marine sanitation hose (the white hose). Using a heat gun made it easy to install, especially since the attachments to the through-deck drain fittings were almost impossible to reach. The hose used originally had hardened and began to develop surface cracks, and was so well "attached" to one through-deck fitting that I had to cut through the drain fitting from the deck side so I could pull it down into the interior of the boat. I used 2" heavy duty radiator hose with wire wrapped interior, bought (not cheaply) by the foot from NAPA. Only because my old ones had been there for 30 years and felt hard. I would not expect it to be any special hose low to no pressure hose? Looks like a 2" hose but dont want to disturbe the old hose till I have a replacement in hand if you know what I mean.
