Having lived in Scotland for a year (and presently near Glasgow) I finally feel qualified to comment on something on this list. You can buy about 1000 different whiskeys of different ages and styles in Whiskey shops here, ranging up to thousands of dollars. I would put Macallan is the Budweiser-like category, well known in the US, but not considered special here. My favorite reasonably priced one, and available in the US is 12 year old Bunnahabhain. I recommend 10-15 year old Balvenie for less peaty variety and Laphroaig for a peaty one. DaveFYI, Being a beer drinker, I had to google "Macallan" to learn it costs $1500 a bottle! Anybody ever tried it? Chuck Resolute 1990 C&C 34R Atlantic City, NJ

As summer approaches we are looking for more volunteers to get the word out on the various forums again. I have taken care of Sailnet.com. However, I don't like the idea of joining another forum just to post once and not return.
If you are an active member on another major forum like SA, Cruisersforum, etc. Please help us!
Please post here when you do so that no one spams forums with duplicate posts.
Email me directly for a printable flyer to put in your neighbors cockpit. I suggest enclosing the flyer and bottle of Macallan 30 year old single malt in a plastic bag to keep things dry, get their attention, and generate a friend for life.
Thanks
