I think when the 30-1 was designed, they used a club made of a rock and a stick.....

Maybe some had roller reefing, I don't know.

My 1980 version had two reef points (I assume factory). There are two attachment rings bolted to the port side of the boom and two cheek blocks on the starboard. The reefing lines run from the rings up to the cringles on the sail and then down to the cheek blocks and then forward to a set of clam cleats - forward to the winch mounted on the side of the boom and then forward to cleats. There is a reef hook at the gooseneck.

To reef, drop the main, pull on the appropriate reef line with the winch (the clam cleats keep it in line) and tie it to the cleat. At the same time, someone is pulling down the luff and there is a ring sewn to the luff which hooks to the gooseneck hook.

It takes two (or one can do it if someone else is steering the boat). Stand next to the mast, drop the sail, bring in the reef line and hook the luff ring to the gooseneck ring. This assumes you have the original halyard winch mounted on the vent box next to the mast.

What is factory reefing arrangement C&C 30MK 1?

What and how do you put in and take out the reefing on your boat? I
have no reefing system on this boat and I need one. I'm trying to put
one in that I can do while sailing alone.
