Here's a link to a pic of the two boats:

I'm not at the lake right now, so I can't check your visual cues Rick.
Next time I go I'll see if I can spot the differences.
As you can see from the pics, Pequod sits very much lower on its trailer
than Wombat.
Pequod has been on this lake since new and was bought new by the current
marina owners dad.
I'm certain the keel is original. Bottom of the keel is thickened out
sideways so as to put more weight down low.

I, myself, am curious about the transition point between the Mk1 and
Mk2. All of the brochures on the Photo Album website are for Mk2s, and
differ slightly from the spec information in the Technical Information
page -- which appear to be information for the Mk1. There are, however
some visual cues to tell the two models apart.
25 Mk1:
Has no bridge deck
Has locker at the aft end of the cockpit
Companionway goes down to about 3" above cockpit sole
Has aluminum frame windows
Has oak beam spanning the top of the cabin bulkhead to support the mast
Has a rectangular pedestal type cabin table
Technical Information (and data I got with my boat when purchased in
'94) shows draft of 3'10"
25 Mk2:
Has a bridge deck
Has no locker at the transom
Smaller companionway
Glued in plexi oportlights
Cockpit bulkhead has a round topped door opening, and the arch of the
bulkhead supports the mast
Cabin table is pedestal mounted, but one side folds down to ease
access forward
Brochures show draft of 4'3" and also show the boat weighs about 100
pounds more than the specs for the Mk1
In the 19 years I've owned my boat, I can't recall anyone ever
mentioning a shoal keel model, and I don't see it listed on the option
sheet I got with my builders file or on the Photo Album.
Can anyone say when the break was between the Mk1 and Mk2, either the
month and year or the hull number.
My boat is HIN 225 and definitely a Mk1.

What mk would a 1981 CnC 25 full keel be?
What about a 1982 CnC25 shoal draft keel?
This is a test!
