Edd:

Some years ago, I painted the complete interior of a Kirby 25 with a one-part Brightside Paint....everyone, including the retailer, advised me it would not work unless I 'primed' all surfaces first....that it would flack and peel. Not so, it worked fine, no flaking and peeling....no primer. All we did was clean the surface with TSP and rinse. Realizing that yours was a different application/purpose, just wanted to provide a little assurance that, in my case, the one-part Brightside paint was convenient to work with and couldn't have worked better.

I did, however, alter, or more likely, killed brain cells. The paint smell was quite strong and I was not wearing any breathing protection......I won't do that again, that's assuming I have enough brain cells left to think sufficiently to protect myself.... back then, I was younger and seemingly invincible!

The hours invested and the work involved in maintaining our boats always results in a rewarding feeling, otherwise why would we bother? Nice job....looks super!

Dwight,

No. The Interlux Brightsides Paint is all you need.

Lots of colors. I went with Steel Grey.

All the best,

Edd
