Short season, but I've been through there on vacation and took the boat ride up 
the way to some rock caves; beautiful country.  So I guess that makes up for 
the short season.Here, the season usually starts in MAR and can go into DEC, 
chilly but doable, but the scenery is pretty bland and there aren't any

Yeah, pretty much (the Bayfield season really kicks in around the Fourth of 
July) -- and Lake Superior never really warms up all that much.  So we pack a 
lot into a very short season.  September is usually pretty nice, and even early 
October can be good.  But if you haven't hauled by Halloween, the Gales of 
November will get you...
