I applied barrier coat on former 35-1 about 6 years ago. There are good PDF
documents on line from the manufacturer that were clear and accurate judging
from the results over time. I believe 4 coats are recommended with the first
coat of ablative solvent based applied when the last coat was still tacky. I
followed the directions and the hull still looked great when I sold her last
spring. I am doing my hull this winter too which is about same area as yours
and I am budgeting 1500-2000 for barrier and bottom paint. Call or email
john.mat...@yale.edu if you can not find the PDF. I believe I still have them
on my PCM
