I would definitely do that, Lewmar clutches work great.I have a similar
outhaul setup to what you plan on my 35 MKII.I think there is very little,
i.e. nothing, to be gained in using high price line. any 3/8 braid will work
just fine and whatever brand you choose you won't need to buy much to do
what you want to do so who cares.but you will appreciate the mod.lines lead
to the cockpit which work properly are always an advantage and IMHO
essential when single handing

Subject: Stus-List Outhaul

While my teak is bleaching in the garage, I need some advice on my outhaul.

It currently runs to the front of the boom through 2 sheaves back into the
boom and exits the bottom of the boom between the vang and mainsheet where
there is a cam cleat. When I replace my clutches I could run it to the base
of the mast, through the new line organizer to the clutch.

It is the original wire and rope line. I plan to replace it with 3/8
StaySet.

Suggestions?
