Ken,

Mine are fiberglass..easy and cheap to reproduce.  Wax paper, a flat
surface, cloth, and West epoxy.  They are attached to the trailing edge of
the keel/skeg with adhesive and/or screws.  I am going to try just screws
this year to ease removal for painting/inspection in the off season.  Bronze
and Mylar are also good choices.
