Too late for the OP now, but this is a good reason to have hull insurance, even if you have a low hull value and high deductible. Your company will naturally NOT want to pay the claim, so their lawyers will be after the clam boat or whatever hit you at their expense. My insurance is about $550/year, so it seems well worth it.
