Jonathan:

Contact this guy for parts or maybe even get a price from him on a refurbish of your hatch....he used to work for A&H for many years....his prices are better than A&H.

Jonathan,

It is a do-it-yourself project even for someone like me. You can order the parts from A&H. Luckily, it seems like everything is available. The gasket is 1/2" round foam and is held in with silicone. You can probably buy it cheaper from McMaster or a similar vendor. The hatch lid is held in with the long pin. Just remember how the springs are positioned and tap it out with a mallet or hammer.

    Hi,
    I bought a C+C 38 MK1, 1976, this summer and I think the forward
hatch needs refurbishing. It looks like an Atkins and Hoyle Hatch
and it would need new gasket, handle assemblies, etc . . . has
anyone done this work? Can I do it myself or should I send hatch
back to A+H. Would rather not pull hatch if I don't have to.

    Thanks
