Bill, Yes the tiller is long and when I steer I sit astride the traveller - on the combing - and handle the traveller and the mainsheet, real close to the companionway. The genoa trimmer (wife) works at the back of the cockpit - astride the rudder stock - working the jib/genoa sheets at the rear of boat. (As any proper female should!) I changed out the genoa winches on either side of the combing, to self tailers (ST16 Lewmars) to keep her happy.
Seriously though, after new sails, the best investment on your boat is new self tailers. This is a real cool boat - and not well known. A little tender, but sails well to her numbers and usually in good condition as they were not raced too much! sam :-) On 2012-09-15, at 9:30 AM, wster1...@aol.com wrote: > Thanks Sam I will have to take a look.
