Tim, That is correct, they do sometimes get caught on the shrouds.  I need to

Bowlines are hard to release under pressure as well..   and if you douse by 
letting the guy run , sometimes &ldquo;catches&rdquo; occur and a release 
mechanism is welcome .
 
Bowlines might be okay for a cruising/snuffer-sock setup

I thought bowlines were prone to coming loose when not under load. I should 
probably go with the soft-shackle

I am thinking of getting new spinnaker sheets made up this winter for Indigo.  
I will probably go with standard snap-shackles as the Tylaska shackles are a 
luxury I do not really need.  I was wondering what line is recommended by other 
35MKIII listers, and whether it makes sense to remove the cover (and how much). 
  I will be sticking with my older guys for at least another year or so.
