I shut my seacock off after use and very recently replaced the throttle cable 
so I know this is a new problem 

The engine 3GMF 

Came in under engine after finishing a race on Sunday and when I went to shut 
the seacock I noticed quite a bit if white residue (salt?) under the heat 
exchanger (forward end) and also significant and be rust on the forward 
starboard side engine mount. This was definitely not the case on Wednesday ( 
previous use)

I had a mechanically experienced friend look at the area, both when the engine 
was cold, and then ran the engine for quite a while (at least 1o minutes). 
Absolutely no signs of any leaks, so I am at a loss

Any suggestions from the wise folks in this list?
