I bought one (Force 10) a few years ago and was happy with it. When I re-launch I look forward to using it again. Here are my reasons for charcoal:
No Propane; my boat was never engineered for propane and I don't want to drill drain holes etc. Taste: It tastes like the wood or charcoal that you use and that is a better experience Time: The reason I sail is to get back in touch with the speeds and rhythms of wind and waves to complement what I do for a living and slowing down for a charcoal BBQ is synchronous with that. Fun; One Thanksgiving, we ran out of charcoal and had to scavenge pieces of branches and driftwood and roasted turkey bits over wood. Still being talked about 8 years later.... I'd never heard that before and I come from an era when I used to shovel coal into the furnace and later fill the stoker hopper with coal.?
