I also had to use an user-agent switcher with firefox/chrome. 64-bit plugin works fine for me (Ubuntu/Crunchbang).

@Sam: I installed it on a 64-bit OS. Did you try opening Firefox's plugin settings? The first time you do that, it downloads Silverlight from Microsoft.
