Sam.... already have suggested Thursday (thought Tuesday may be too soon for all interested to make arrangements) to Kin and am awaiting word back from him. Good so far.
About the memberships, right there ...simple and quick About replacing FOUR ... have to ask here ... are you wanting/needing to replace four board members? Just for informational purposes, last word I had was the secretary, Winston was at the last attempt at AGM and has not, that I know of, signalled his intent to leave the post. Kin was out of touch for a time but has also not signalled his intent to leave. Two are needed for certain, the Prez and vice Prez are confirmed. My thought, not wishing to make anyones mind up either way but, my thought on Kin is that he may have been dissappointed about the way things were or something but until he says he wants to leave, I would not be in favour of simply replacing him...first, that can be done but needs to follow procedure since he is still with us (so far as we know) but he is also the one responsible for the group having a place to meet in. The two data points are not necessarily linked but we cannot presume that they may not be. My thought/hope is that if we show him that there is p ositive motivation happening, he may feel better about the future of the group. A second point, he might like to have the responsibility for taking the membership fees removed from him. The bylaws say it is not his real responsibility. He may not mind but it is extra work for him. Perhaps we should talk with him about these items...... just a thought Does anyone know how to contact Winston, the secretary? We should talk with him about intentions also. they may both wish to stay long enough for the group to re-group sort of thing....or longer.
