That has nothing to do with the NSA. Many in this list have the ability to
do that and more. They simply choose not to because they are law abiding
citizens.
They could quite literally cripple western civilization with a couple of
clicks. But again they choose not to.

Your example holds true weather or not the NSA et. al  are spying on people
or not.

I feel a whole lot better knowing there are systems there watching, making
sure things don't get too far.

Besides, we disclose enough info on a regular basis on social media the
open source intelligence can and do rival anything collected coverly...
