The basics are pretty easy. About 15 years ago at CUUG it took me 2 years to get an Intro to Linux (install fest type) course going. Now you try a Live DVD and if you like it, click on the install button. Once upon a time, masquerading was black belt sysAdmin arcana. Now you start the router and it asks "the ISP wants a MAC address, should I give him yours or mine?". synaptic almost makes me look like the sysAdmin I'm not. Duh?
