The original reason I ended up switching to Debian was for ease of upkeep. I have been trying out a variety via multi booting. Debian Squeeze with nvidia driver 195. Debian Wheezy with nvidia driver 265. (moving to 265 fixed X at boot) Debian Squeeze with Nuveau. Managed to slightly damage Nuveau while trying to fix LXDE, I changed it back to Nvidia 195 for now.
My Debian Testing is working the best these days. Things do not seem to stay broken long, if at all. I try to keep a good lookout for the best smart scrips to keep everything sane. Any one else here have experience and preferences along these regards?
