Ralph Borland will be doing a talk as well - here is his synopsis:

Title: Using Enchanting to allow children to program the Lego
Mindstorms toy robot.
Presenter: Ralph Boland

I will give a presentation on Scratch and Enchanting.
Scratch is a tool that allows children do to basic programming in a
visual manner.
Enchanting is a tool that uses Scratch to allow programming of of the
Lego Mindstorm toy robot
which is built using Lego bricks.
Scratch is written in Smalltalk. Enchanting is written with a Scratch
front end and a Java backend.
I will bring a robot which I will attempt to program.

That sounds so cool! I thought that the Lego XT software was open sourced though? I could be wrong.

See...I love this, because at work, the Mindstorms is used quite a bit & I woudl love to try & find ways of getting more open source in the door & potentially Linux.

I think I might get to the meeting tomorrow! And have a donation for CLUG as well.
