Using Debian Squeeze Using KDE I was able to log into my Desktop, but lost that ability. I type in my password and press Enter. The login screen goes away like the Desktop is loading and then it stops, and comes back to the login screen.
I tried to configure Code: Xorg: Xorg -configure and got this message: (EE) Failed to load /user/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.so (EE) Failed to load module nvidia (loader failed, 7) (++) Using config file: /root/xorg.conf.new (==) Using system config directory /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d (EE) [drm] No DRICreatePCIBusID symbol Number of created screens does no match number of detected devices. Configuration failed I don't know what happened. I'm using the nv driver. My video card is an old one: Nvidia Vanta LT. The driver quit working in the last couple of days. Was the driver updated and my card no longer supported? Anything else that would cause this.
