    Further more if you are doing video editing you may well find a
    SCSI is far faster than what we have now.  The reason is simple
    physics... many heads are better than one.

    A drive can only read and write where the head is.  If you have
    many little drives with many little heads then you can have very
    high throughput.  I had clients who had over 100 2GB SCSI drives
    in a RAID configuration which was just a file buffer.  They were
    loading data onto an AMPEX D3 as I recall.  The tape drive was so
    fast the disc farm had trouble keeping up.
