I have a couple IDE RAID controllers ... never used.  I also have some big boen 
where you can probably put up 12-24 TB of disk.

I have lots of used "shoeboxes".  These will hold quite a lot of external 
disk.. as in many if done right with new stuff which will involve a case mod.  
These are used - new these boxes were close to $200 and they have a high 
quality PS around 200+ watts.. I'll need to check.  With a suitable cpu could 
be NAS.  Value is the boxen are high quality boxenI have a couple IDE RAID
