What motivated me was > Bashing Windows out of ignorance does not get us anywhere and just makes us look childish.
Who is the "us" in there anyway? My response was that some of us bash Windows from first hand experience. In the Linux world, some of us actually eat what we kill. We don't pontificate on the merits of not looking childish. Some of us honest and truly "get somewhere" with Linux. Some of us actually practice what we preach, pay bills, feed families, etc, etc, on the merits of Linux and the inadequacy of Windows. Believe me, I'm the last person who wants to see Windows disappear, I've made my living for 10 years off of it's shortcomings. Oh, and the comment > Personally, I enjoy reading old newspapers, but I have a day job that prevents me from making a serious attempt. is a poser comment. If you had the skill set, you'd just do it. You wouldn't have wasted your time telling the list why you won't. I don't have the skill set, that's why I'm curious.
