Here are a couple more:

1) Be productive out of the box.  With Linux you have immediate access
to productivity software such as Open Office, Inkscape, Gimp, and Scribus.

2) Hardware support.  No wasting time tracking down and downloading
drivers.  On my IBM/Lenovo X41 Tablet, the touchscreen, wifi, lan,
video, all worked out of the box.
