Well...this whole thing has been quite an adventure. I am finding very
little get-taggings apps for Linux out there. I am find some references to
DigiKam, Picasa, etc. but they don't seem to be implemented in the versions
that I have been able to find. Picasa on WIndows does have the embed
geotags with google earth but not in the Linux version (that I can find
anyways).

Digikam is supposed to have a similar fetaure but at this point I cannot
find it. I did an apt-get install digikam on my 3epc but I don't think that
is the version that has that feature.

On a more positive note...it looks like flickr has the ability to
enter/edit/drag photos with the geo-codes right within the site....BUT..if
you don't have a net connection I am thinking you would be hooped.

Unless there is something that would allow me to use that offline then
upload when I get a connection.

It seems for now I will still have to use a low-tech approach by logging the
photos in a book and then enter manually. I did find a cable to connect
the GPS to the computer and there is some projects out there that sync the
photos with waypoints....but I haven't had a chance to play with that at
this point....

Hmm....this might all make an interesting prezzy or workshop someday?
