Hey All, Since we seem to be having some difficulty in getting presentations rolling, I thought I would start this thread now in advance of February's meeting (at least).
As a follow-up to Simon's presentation on VoIP, I would love to see an Asterisk presentation. Some other topics I would like to see covered (in no particular order): Creative Commons, Copyright vs. Copyleft, Patents and Licensing (GPL, Apache, etc.) More KDE tips & tricks Mail Server Administration (yes, I am still wrestling this bad boy) Network Administration (specifically Traffic Shaping or Content Filtering for those of us with Families) Port Knocking Just so nobody thinks I am all about taking and not receiving, here's what I have to offer if anyone is interested: IPCop: Setup and Basic Administration GNUPG: Setup and Daily Use GNUCash: How to track your Personal Finances Tellico: Collection Management And is it just me or are we overdue for a Workshop? I would love to participate/volunteer for a VoIP/Asterisk Workshop or an Email Server Workshop. We have had a few in the past and I think they were pretty successful. I know that we are coming up on another AGM and this is the last thing the Executive probably wants to think about as they are coming to the end of their terms but this _could_ be set up by the group at large and not require the Executive unless absolutely necessary. Take some of the pressure off. FYI, this could be broken out to another thread. Thoughts? Jarrod
