Its exactly like the regular text install, except, you aren't asked to create a username - only a password. It then tells you that your login is "oem" and you use the password you setup. You login to the machine with that login, set it up for the "customer" (install Flash, Java, cd player, whatever) then, when you're ready to "sell" it, you just run "sudo oem-prepare-config" and voila - it deletes the OEM user and powers down ...
The next time you boot it up, there's no users on the system. Instead, you get a nice little "first time setup" wizard similar to XP! The customer sets their language, username, password, etc. Its very handy for when you're setting up a box for someone... saves you the hassle of picking their username, password, and writing it down for them.

ps: surely I can't be the only one who wishes the alternate CD was the main one.. the livecd just slows everything down!
