Windows default host screen is 0. Another thing is if you are connecting to an
XP box you may have to be logged in first to the windows box.

If you are connecting by port number, make sure you are using a double colon
after the host ip or host name.

ie 192.168.1.1::5900

If you are connecting by screen number, then only use a single colon after the
host ip/name.

ie 192.168.1.1:0

Hope this helps.
