A couple of things. As far as I know, pump is old and should be abandoned. Check to see if dhclient exists in your path. Simply run dhclient eth1 (or whatever your interface was). You may also have dhcpcd, for info on it, consult its man page). Also try appending the commit option to your iwconfig line. iwconfig <iface> enc <key value> channel <num> commit Cheers,
