I would doubt that shaw would "intentionally" block access to webmail as it's main purpose is to allow shaw users to access their email when away from their email computer.
Did this work for you previously or are you trying it for the first time? Try it without the https IE http://webmail.shaw.ca (It redirects to https) Try http://64.59.134.10 Is it possible to run the following (not sure about what functionality the Audiovox has) When you ping webmail.shaw.ca what IP do you get back? I get 64.59.134.10 How about a traceroute? Can you "telnet webmail.shaw.ca 80"? how about "telnet webmail.shaw.ca 443" Is it possible to try another browser? how about other shaw pages IE: members.shaw.ca/.... Do they work? http://members.shaw.ca/rocket/ (A random guess and it exists) how about other https sites: https://mail.yahoo.com or https://gmail.google.com/ Not that any of this will solve your issue but it helps clarify it (for me anyways) sig -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Dave Watkins Sent: Monday, May 23, 2005 7:12 PM To: 'CLUG General' Subject: [clug-talk] OT: Shaw webmail login from Telus Mobile network Hi All, Forgive the off topic post however both Telus and Shaw plead ignorance on this one. When I try to connect to https://webmail.shaw.ca or https://webmail.shawcable.com I get an Internet Explorer popup stating "The page you are looking for cannot be found". This happens when I log in using my Audiovox PPC on the Telus data network. When I try the same from a PC connected to a Shaw customer, me, I can connect without problem. Shaw Tech support says that they can't replicate the problem on either their internal or external systems. Telus hinted that Shaw may be blocking incoming connections to their webmail pages. Any comments, suggestions etc?
