Hey, don't blame the guy, laws of the jungle, the strongest survives. While
it sounds uncaring, it's just a fact of life.

As the old salesman saying goes, "I went broke giving out samples..."

Nothing in this world is free, and while Linux is "free" I suspect once it
starts becoming a "job" to maintain the patches, updates, and viruses that
attack the program, eventually it will loose luster.

Plus companies making a living on it will have to abandon it. Like you said
yourself, Linux isn't the best program out there.

Yes FUD is playing big, but then again the Liberals are still in power for
the same reason.

Why? That tactic works.

Sad, but true, and unless the Linux community becomes an entity rather than
a faceless vast summation of geeks in basements living on Jolt cola...

Cheers
tom

If anyone ever wanted a succinct definition of "FUD", this is it. How
anyone could support a company that stoops to behaviour like this, I'll
never know.

As Rob Glaser, a former Microsoft exec, told Time magazine [in
2001], Gates is "relentless. He's Darwinian. He doesn't look for
win-win situations with others, but for ways to make others
lose. Success is defined as flattening the competition, not
   creating excellence."
