I have no idea how this nonsense made it to the list;
and something else is weird - this message was supposedly posted on the 18th, and it showed up now (on the 29th).
Was this maybe waiting in a moderation queue and someone actually released it?

Nothing in this world is free, and while Linux is "free" I suspect once it starts becoming a "job" to maintain the patches, updates, and viruses that attack the program, eventually it will loose luster.
Plus companies making a living on it will have to abandon it. Like you said yourself, Linux isn't the best program out there.
