Blog on build automation of appliance using veewee+vbox using jenkins: http://rohityadav.in/logs/building-systemvms/ Note that they are tested and full proof but we're working on them for 4.2.0 release, so if you end up changing the default distro (Debian) for the systemvm template, you will have to rework all the patch scripts in patches/systemvm/debian; but we would love to see people fork them out to create systemvms based on fedora, arch linux etc. so we can someday have patches/systemvm/{fedora,arch,gentoo} etc :) Hope this helps.
