I disagree, strongly. 

We supply the convenience binaries for a reason. That's because quite a
few users won't want to compile from source - we should make sure it's
obvious that we do supply binaries, even though source is the official
release.

We haven't yet established for most users 1) what CloudStack is or 2)
why they should care about 4.0.0-incubating.

Yes, and they're as much for users who don't know what CloudStack is or
why they should download it just because they've crossed paths with an
announcement that says it's out.
