I do not know if I have the right direction*, but qooxdoo was the low-hanging fruit for me because I have a ton of experience wrapping its so-called "Desktop" variant (Web RIAs) so... it is now pretty easy to build a mobile** app in CLJS/qx.Mobile***.
* I will look at ReactNative next, though my Cells library offers the same declarative power with the same minimum DOM manipulation. That said, React is pretty popular, so I will take a look. ** I started with Android, but after writing up what I have done so far I will dust off my Mac and give iOS a go. *** In a few hours I will start fleshing out the read-me here: https://github.com/kennytilton/rube. That is just my dataflow/modelling library, but for now the qooxdoo wrapper Qxia is in there as a demo project. (I find Cells hard to motivate without a substantial problem to solve, and UIs are good for that.)
