An observation really.

I've just noticed that a literal map e.g. (def m {:a 1 :b 2 :c 3}) in 
alpha6 is an array map not hash map.  

In 1.6.0 and 1.7.0-alpha5  its a hash map.

Couldn't find any obvious statement in the release notes but interested in 
the background to the change.
