Hans-J.: I haven't yet had a chance to try out Stream's ring adapter, but I hope to do so soon.
I think it should probably be published as a jar for embedded use, and as a Vert.x module that depends on that jar for use in a Vert.x container. Can you file against the ring adapter[1] asking for a release? Isaiah Peng and I are currently working on a lein plugin[2] that should make working with lein-based Vert.x projects easier. It will include support for specifying Vert.x module dependencies in project.clj, but isn't quite there yet.
