Yeah, it certainly is not quite up to giving you true dynamic language capabilities yet :-)
Still, it's better than nothing. The combination of being able to hot-update methods and set breakpoints plus all the usual debugging facilities makes the "working with Java from the REPL" experience much more pleasant overall. There's also no real downside to using this (assuming you have plenty of memory available to run your Clojure JVM in debug mode....)
