Drip does not give me any significant advantage on my hardware... I think that most of this 12 seconds is spent compiling and initializing all the plugins on top of lein and clojure itself.
One day I will have some time to spit out a tool to create a local AOT version of all these nice tools to at least skip the compilation phase.
